The area of the Suwałki Special Economic Zone consists of four undeveloped plots, which have of a total area of 13.3848 ha. Augustów Sub-zone is situated in the north-west part of the city, between national roads DK 61 (direction: Warsaw) and DK 8 (direction: Białystok); and starting from 2020, it will be connected with the international express road E67 via Raczki node (20 km away from the city). The investment area will have the necessary technical infrastructure and internal roads starting from October 2017, thanks to the financing of the Regional Operational Programme for Podlaskie Voivodeship.
In accordance with the local spatial development strategy for Augustów, investment plots are dedicated for storage and industry purposes, including production plants, workshops, bases, wholesale warehouses, construction companies, other bases, and storage facilities.
Augustów offers advantages to the investors thanks to a number of tax exemption, which are a part of de minimis aid, such as exemption from real estate tax for new businesses or exemption from real estate tax for newly constructed buildings.
Augustów provides the investors with the opportunity to cooperate with job agencies, supporting companies in recruiting employees with the most suitable qualifications.
