The major branches of industry of the Podlaskie Province include the following sectors: textile, wood and agriculture and food, in this, production of tobacco and beer.
According to the latest fficial data of the Chief Central Statistical Office, there were 95,338 businesses in the province. Among them 396 had a share of foreign capital.
